Final Four 2013 Ticket Lottery

The NCAA is holding a Final Four ticket lottery for the chance to purchase tickets to the 2013 Final Four at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Each applicant can request up to four tickets. Each ticket will enable the owner of the ticket to attend the two semi-final games as well as the NCAA Championship game. The first 20,000 applicants from March 12, 2012 to May 31, 2012 will be entered in the NCAA Final Four ticket lottery which will be held in July 2012. The NCAA will notify applicants in August 2012 whether they will receive Final Four tickets.

In order to be entered in the NCAA Final Four ticket lottery, your credit card will be charged for the number of tickets you wish to receive (up to four). If you are not selected in the ticket lottery, your money will be refunded. The application deadline is May 31, 2012 or until 20,000 entries have  been submitted. Ticket prices range from $175-230 and admit the bearer to both Final Four games as well as the NCAA Championship game. The $175 tickets are in the top upper bowl section behind the baskets in the Georgia Dome. Tickets with a Face Value of $195 are in the top upper bowl area along the sideline. The $230 tickets are in the second level behind the baskets.

The following link will take you to the NCAA application site. At the NCAA application website, click on “ticket application”. If you don’t want to spend $200 to sit up high in the rafters to watch the NCAA tournament championship game, check out my blog post describing how my son and I watched the 2007 NCAA Championship game in lower bowl seats for $200 for both of  us. If your looking to buy prime seats for the two Final Four games, be prepared to pay a bit more for your tickets. The following link is from my post describing how I saved $700 on Final Four tickets which were fabulous mid-court level seats for the basketball games between Florida and UCLA and then Georgetown and Ohio St.

We’re going whether we get tickets in the lottery or not. If you get tickets and I don’t, I’ll definitely buy them from you!

With all the interes, the NCAA should give a more definite time fram when we can expect a letter if we don’t receive tickets.

  10. Claudia says:

Just got my email from NCAA…no tickets for me! :(

  11. Jackie says:

I just received my email today that I got tickets. It was from NCAA Division 1 Basketball. HTH.

Just got an email that I was selected for 4 strips. I would consider selling 2 right off the bat if someone is interested.

For those of you who were fortunate and were selected for NCAA Final Four tickets in the lottery, would you mind sharing the section your seats are in.

  17. Russ says:

Strange, still no notification for me!

  18. Dave says:

We will not know our seats/sections until we actually get the tickets which will be mailed in Feb 2012.

  19. Dave says:

I do know I purchased the tickets at the $190 price which according to the aboove information….Tickets with a Face Value of $190 are in the top upper bowl area along the sideline

  20. Jeff says:

To anyone who has received confirmation can you advise who the email came from as will search my folders for that address. Thanks

    • Russ says:

I’d be interested in that email address too. I also tried @marchmadness on Twitter and no reply there either. Seems strange they notify some and not others? Even if my notification was coming by mail it should be here, it’s been a week since everyone else heard already! What a pain!

    • Russ says:

Well, still no word from NCAA but just saw an $840 credit in my account so I guess that means no tix…

  21. Bernie B says:

I made the $840 deposit and was notified I got $680 seats. Have tried to ask NCAA how/when the difference will be handled but frankly the place is like a black hole. Has anyone else had this issue.

  22. Jeremy says:

I won the lottery and received an email. Then shortly after I got a credit back so I only won the cheap seats. dissapointing but whatever. Gonna sell them on stubhub this time.

  23. Shayla says:

Anyone know if the tickets have actually been mailed yet?

  24. Jason says:

When and how do you get in the lottery for next year?

  25. Joey says:

Has anybody been notified if they “won” tickets for the 2013 Final Four yet? This is my second time trying and I didn’t win last time. I know they said they would notify people in August, but so far I haven’t heard either way and no credit has been posted to my credit card account yet….

  26. Rob says:

I just called the NCAA HQ. I actually spoke to a really helpful gentleman who even looked up my last name to verify my email address who told me they are on pace to send notification emails (good or bad) tomorrow. He said Thursday at the lastest in case they encountered any problems but that we would know BEFORE Friday . . . GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY !!!

  27. bryan says:

    This waiting is killing me!!

  28. Mitch says:

Soooooo…it is August 31, 12:27 pm eastern time and I have nada fromt he NCAA. Figuring it is a no but it would be nice to know for sure since the email I got in July said the following…”Please know that we are working hard to complete the selection process and will be sure to follow up with you to let you know if your application has been selected or not selected, by August 31, 2012″ :-(

  29. Paul says:

Just got an email … 2 for $380

  30. Joey says:

    None for me….:-(

  31. Karen says:

I got 2 tickets for $380. Crap, now I don’t think I can go. Timing is everything.

  32. Ron says:

    I won four at $920.

  33. Chris says:

I won 2 @ a total of $380 (2nd choice). Just happy to be selected :) Best advice is to sign up and pay the highest amount. Even if you dont get the best seats, they will refund the balance to your credit card in full if you dont win at all. E-mail me at caseino@hotmail.com if you are looking for 2 tickets to BOTH DAYS of the 2013 NCAA FINAL FOUR! Write in subject area: FINAL FOUR. The two tickets are in the upper sidelines. Final seating will be determined in December via email from the NCAA Flash Seats.
